Every Brightwork visit follows the same list of 38 points. It is not a marketing number. It is the list on the crew lead's phone, and each point gets a tick before the door is locked.
Why a list at all
Cleaning is the kind of work where the last five per cent is what people notice. The mirror that was wiped but not dried. The bin that was emptied but not relined. A list is how two people in a hurry still catch those.
How the 38 are split
- Kitchen: 11 points, from worktops to the bin
- Bathroom: 10 points, from the shower screen to the towel fold
- Bedroom: 8 points, from the bed linen to under the bed
- Living room: 9 points, from the sofa cushions to the skirting
The split follows time, not floor area. A kitchen is a quarter of the home and nearly a third of the work.
The points people ask about
Taps polished dry. Water spots are the first thing you see in a bathroom. A dry cloth after the wet one takes ten seconds.
Inside the microwave. It is on the regular list because it is used every day. The oven is not, because it needs an hour.
Light switches and door handles. The most touched and least cleaned surfaces in any home.
What is not on it
Inside the oven, inside the fridge, exterior windows and laundry are extras. We would rather do 38 things properly than 50 in a rush.
The list is the same for a studio and for a five bedroom house. Only the time changes.
How you can use it
The full list is on the checklist page, room by room, and it prints on one sheet. Some clients tape it inside a cupboard. If a point matters more to you than the others, tell us, and it goes to the top.
